By 1972 (at age 40), I had spent sixteen years as a disciple in a traditional monastery. By Grace, I ran across the autobiography of the great Spiritual Master, Adi Da Samraj. I was deeply moved by his transcendent wisdom, which directly addressed questions I'd been having about my monastic choice. Soon I left the monastery, and became Adi Da's devotee — and am to this day. If you read the rest of my story, you will learn how Adi Da proceeded to use my love of music as a "skillful means" to open my heart, and drive to its depths. I invite you to listen to some of the music I have sung to Adi Da in sacred occasions. My two albums, Liquid Light and An Infinite Well, were produced by my friend John Mackay; much of the original music in these albums was composed by the devotees of Adi Da Samraj. |
